DESIGN MEETS FASHION - again

There is a lot in common between fashion and interior design: you dress your home in a similar way - with the same preferences for colour, materials, style. Probably this approach lies behind that growing number of fashion brands that begin to offer home furnishings, as you can see in my earlier posts like the one on the link above and many other posts on the theme.

Now we see another beautiful collaboration - last October "Nina Yashar, founder of Nilufar Gallery, has curated a selection of pieces from her rich contemporary collectible design collection that will be available on the MODES.COM online platform from mid October."

The beautiful pieces include works by Martino Gamper, Audrey Large, Bethan Laura Wood, Flavie Audi, Amy Lowry, Jonathan Trayte, EDXXKAT and Anestis Michalis. Have a look at some of them:

May be it will interesting for you to follow how some of the most exclusive fashion designer labels were presenting their new luxury home objects during each edition of Milan Design Week - enjoy!

Modern Luxury Interior design Inspiration

If you, like me, are inspired by great design, interesting use of materials and new approach to interior design objects, enjoy a few of my latest founds, some of them part of the exhibitions during Milan Design Week this June:

Draga and Aurel - Side table Bon Bon

Memento Moooi Wallcovering Collection, but what I like here is the way it is presented with this beautiful hue which suits perfectly the elegant wooden armchair with brick colour leather upholstery.
The wallpaper is even more strikingly luxurious in gold on dark background combined with these golden upholstery chairs

Alphabet writing desk, Saba - it just invites you to sit there and touch it :)

Fratelli Boffi - Gothik-A - cabinet - design Ferruccio Laviani, my photo

3D printed table Plumon, design Patricia Urquiola
Pure inspiration! And the kind of luxury I like :)

Milan Moments 2

Some more inspiration from Salone and the streets of Milan :)

The Red Lounge - no doubt one of my favorite places at Rho Fiera, where great design and comfort  are the wonderful background for press meetings, interviews and a possibility to relax and recharge yourself and your precious phone with numerous photos, to share impressions:

A lot of pleasant discoveries at the fair:

Scarabeo's elegant mini bathroom

Gessi's impressive colourful stand

And around town:

Tomato red is the new color in Milan

This year, in Milan, we were seeing red, a juicy tomato-y hue everywhere, not only at the beautiful exhibition at Museo Poldi Pezzoli (showcasing 50 new furnishings by 17 designers all in the same hue, created by Luca Nichetto, art director of French furniture brand La Manufacture):

A wonderful blend between modern design and past glamour

As you can see -red is everywhere, even in kitchens and bedrooms:

And in the bathrooms. I like this new vitality in home design and hope this mood to continue :)

Some of my Salone 2022 Discoveries

For its 60th anniversary Salone del Mobile is back in full bloom! Just a few of the interior design proposals that I liked and may inspire you, too:

Gessi' s corner from Salone was one of the most colourful and beautiful

Only 3 of many photos I made there
The other interesting stand was that of Scarabeo with witty proposals for small bathrooms:

A very pleasant surprise was the stand of Brazil:

Beautiful design by SICIS:

That is just a small glimpse - more will follow :)

Salone Del Mobile 2022 - Artistic Trend

It seems that Art-Design is a very distinct trend for the coming 60th Salone del Mobile which starts in less that two weeks. Art-deco influences and baroque adornments are often found in many of the new designs that we are going to see in Milan from June 7th during Milan Design Week 2022. A few examples:
