Gold glitter in the bathroom

Simplicity with elegance of design combined with the warm glitter of golden hues - this is a good example of modern luxury for the bathroom:

Great design by Kohler. I would only use a safer form of bathtub - although very modern and minimalistic, in the end bathroom is a place we should think first about safety and after that about modernity. A simple slipping can result in something quite unpleasant with so many edges. Agree?

Inspired Spaces

It is not only about perfect design, even not at all about perfect design. It is about personal presence. We, as interior designers, can help a lot about the coziness and perfect functioning of your home, but we can fill it with soul only with your participation.  It is always obvious when the owners have attitude to art and design, emotional connections with some of the elements of the interiors and many memories that they want to preserve. All this brings about the creation of inspired spaces we all admire.

Furniture inspired by famous architects

All pieces in the  World Architects Collection by Portugal company MALABAR are inspired by famous architects and the latest addition, Trinity console, is not exception. Norman Foster, the famous English architect, is the inspiration for the design of their new console:

For this unusual coffee table named Water Lily Marco de Sousa has taken inspiration from the famous 20th century architect Frank Lloyd Wright and his philosophy: “study nature, love nature, it will never disappoint”. It is reminiscent of Wright’s Johnson Wax building in Wisconsin, with eight water lily shaped segments made in Caviuna wood:

And guess who is the architect inspired the creation of this unusual cabinet:

Yes, right - Antonio Gaudi inspired the design. 

How do you like them? I think that each one of these makes a great accent in any interior design scheme.

Glamourous small bathrooms

Small bathrooms present much more challenges to the interior designer, but that does not mean they cannot be glamourous and functional, even look spacious.

How to achieve this? One way is by leaving only the essentials - no shower curtain, no any othe space separating elements, just a sink, a shower and two nooks by the sink and by the shower. And cover all the surfaces with one material - like this beautiful mosaic above.

In the bathroom above a white wall that continues on the sloping ceiling makes this small space look much larger. In both bathrooms a lot of natural light adds to this feeling of much larger space. Of course, the large mirror above the white sink helps for this, too.
