Easy Bathroom Renovation

One of the easiest ways to refresh your bathroom - even without replacing the lower section of your tiles - is to place wallpaper above it:

Or, by placing a beautiful waterproof wallpaper on one of the walls:

Trends: Warmth with natural stones

According to Elle Decor, there is a general trend (which I completely agree with) towards warmer, earth tones, including the bathroom. And there we notice a desire to replace white marble in favor of stones with warmer hues like travertine and limestone. I can confirm that from what my latest clients chose for their two bathrooms - travertine walls and travertine-like floor tiles:
The master bathroom in my latest project

And the second one which is still not completed with lighting:

I suppose that now, when we are going to spend more time at home, this trend towards warmer hues will become popular.

Best Home Improvements to Increase the Value of Your Home

I have been part of a research on "What are the best home improvements in order to increase the value of your home?' and I suppose that many of my readers will find it useful to see the results.
Here is what Tim from Kayu Connection says about the research:
"When planning to make a home improvement it always difficult to judge where best to spend your money.  In addition to improving your lifestyle, you would also hope that your home improvement is an investment that has a positive impact on the value of your home. The question is, what improvements to home buyers value most?
Even though this is an extremely difficult question to answer, and will vary based on the location of your property, local preferences, and countless of other factors our friends at Kayu Connection rounded up 45 experts across the interior design and real estate industry, and interviewed 113 prospective home buyers, and asked this exact question. What are the best home improvements in order to increase the value of your home?
It’s clear that what home buyers value is not always the best investment, and it’s often the smaller improvements that are less expensive, and therefore have a greater return on investment.
”

The full results are summarized in this infographic.
