Fashionable cookies

We have seen how fashion goes into interior design and vice versa, but now we see that fashion is trying to go into cooking, too. Part of Sofia Design Week 2013, the yesterday demonstration of preparing cookies with 3D prints of the fashionable Tweed Herringbone and the Pied de Poule fabric patterns showed exactly that:

Loukas Angelou and Vasso Asfi, founders of the London based STUDIOLAV, have graduated the Central St. Martins. Their designer baking stamps are a modern way of reviving traditions, based on  childhood memories from their native Greece.

THE RISE OF DIY, ART, CRAFT, AND DESIGN

Sofia Design Week 2013
This could be the title of a design trend that I would like to write about, but at the moment it is just an announcement of the start of the preliminary Program of Sofia Design Week 2013.

The preliminary program of Sofia Design Week starts with the screening of HANDMADE NATION. THE RISE OF DIY, ART, CRAFT, AND DESIGN by Faythe Levine, but I am convinced that the trend concerns all the countries, and we have a lot of evidence about that from the major design events.

This year SDW will be the Balkan Date of design and will be the meeting point of the new wave of Balkan designers. It will be very interesting! For more information and impressions, visit regularly - I will be posting. If you are interested in a more detailed report or an interview with any of the many famous designers coming to the Forum, justfreeemail2!!!
