What you probably didn’t know is that copper patina is not related to damages or corrosion but in fact it is simply the settling of molecules to a more stable order. The Statue of Liberty was initially sprayed with a vinegar solution in order for it to obtain itsverdigris (the green pigment). Verdigris actually protects copper—once verdigris sets in, the copper will never corrode.A good and natural way to stirs up the molecules of copper to a state of chaos – and consequently make your copper shine again – is to use a special paste made in equal parts of kosher salt and ketchup.Interesting, isn't it? I have numerous posts with a wide variety of application of copper.
It seems that copper - one of my favourite materials, is going to be very popular this year - look at the numerous new suggestions:![]() |
