My Perfect Interior for the day

I am starting a series of posts with inspirational photos of perfect or dream interiors that I find on the web. This is definitely one of them - a perfect area for cozy and elegant family dining, meeting with friends, even work:

Midj, Italy

These are some of my favorite pieces of furniture from Supersalone that impressed me with my first visit there last September. I like the elegant lines, quality materials and, I am sure, great comfort... The perfect example of modern luxury. What do you think?

First Impressions from SUPERSALONE

I want to congratulate Stefano Boeri and his team for what they have achieved! Supersalone is not just a reborn Salone, it presents the essence of the old Salone in a modern sustainable way.

It responds exactly to what has been announced - no excess of materials, good organization and a lot of information! Enjoy a part of the inspiring new designs and talks:

The welcome talks with Maria Porro and Marva Griffin - a great insight about the present and near future directions of design!

Just a few of the numerous photos from the fair that I want to share :) There will be more soon.

Cork Furniture - "a new creation from the fires was born"

I have always liked cork as a material in interior design. I even have a project with cork tiles in the kitchen and livingroom of a client. But this story from Yellow Trace by By Erin Christie  inspired me further. All pieces from french designer Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance’s furniture collection made of discarded burnt cork have beautiful sculptural forms:

They are from the second installment for Made in Situ

The designed pieces are the fruits of my adventures, explorations of geological and biological textures, patterns, materials and their related techniques. Above all, my stimulation comes from human knowledge and sensitivity, linking to and embedded in each specific place.” Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance
