First news for Milan - Sneak Previw







Only weeks after IMM Cologne the first news of the big show in Milan this spring appear:


Frame magazine publishes sneak preview of some of the new collections.

To be released at the Salone in Milan: Dutch duo Stefan Scholten and Carole Baijings will show vividly coloured plaids
to create a colour explosion in the interior. The blankets are made of Merino
wool and cotton, and display interrupted colour sequences. The fabrics are woven

A bathroom collection by Dutch architect Wiel Arets for Alessi. Not officially launched yet, the collection comprises a washbasin, toilet, bath tub and furniture that will be manufactured by Swiss company Laufen. Taps, fittings and accessories will be manufactured by Finnish company Oras. Alessi is responsible for the design of the collection, for which it hired Wiel Arets. The three companies collaborated in 2004 on a bathroom series designed by Stefano Giovannoni.




Bisazza will present installations in Milan this April by Jaime Hayon and Studio Job that will showcase a range of new objects by the designers for Bisazza’s homeware range Bisazza Home at Superstudio Più in Milan’s Zona Tortona.
Right: the Spanish designer Hayon will present an installation featuring “Pinocchione” - a giant Pinocchio-type figure - plus a range of new products including lights and pedestals clad in Bisazza mosaics.
