I like the soft elegant lines, the beautiful combination of FSC certified Amazonian wood and a top made of Marwoolus - marble waste and wool yarns, made by Marco Guazzini - in the Cascas tea trolley. Patricia Urquiola designed the two collections for the debut of ETEL International, a Brazilian furniture company’s first opening towards non-Brazilian designers:

And who is the designer - Patrica Urquiola, of course! She is the designer who created all of the products and probably - the one who designed this bathroom, too. A great example how the popular industrial style can be also sophisticated and so very elegant!

 I congratulate the organization for awarding her - it was high time! The award is given to any individual or organization that has contributed significantly to the interior design industry and Urquiola is probably one of the most prolific, talented and successful contemporary interior and product designers.


She is my favourite designer since 2005 and I have followed all her new designs and achievements in the years since then. You can see them on Patricia Urquiola's site, but here on my blog you can also read the stories behind them!.

Patricia Urquiola's latest interior design

It is the new Molteni&C flagship store in Tokyo, situated in the renowned Minami Aoyama district - a space of about 300 square meters, realized in collaboration with Artflex Japan. It presents a perfect fusion of Japanese traditional high-end style and Italian design.

which I like much more than the earlier released version of this unusual not as a design, but as an intention chair by Patricia Urquiola for The Marina Abramovic Institute (MAI). This one I would love to have at home :)
