As my regular readers know, I am very much interested in
the relation between fashion and interior design. It is expressed in various ways, but now I have just saw in
Domus another expression of that relation - this is the new
Tread Carpet by Spanish designer
Martín Azúa created for a
Camper store.
I suppose that this is the best idea suitable for a fashionable shoe store - it represents a playful composition of many footprint shapes, woven by artisans from the region of Murcia from esparto, a traditional material, from which soles of sandals are usually manufactured.
Great idea! And a designer, who also believes that there are "no boundaries between disciplines".
