A washbasin with a missing sink...

I f I can express myself in this way, the sink in the washbasin ELL by Agape presented at Milan Design Week 2015 is replaced by a grid panel, made of marble or stone Solid Surface in various colors and types. Only 4 cm thick, tapering up to 1 cm on the edges:

How do you like it? I am not sure if the water will go where it has to or will splash allover the surface and the floor below, but find it interesting idea. Find more posts about the new products from Milan Design Week 2015.

Handmade LED Lighting

Maarten Baas and Bertjan Pot for DHPH at Milan 2015

It is fun and it is so fresh! The LEDS Clay collection Dutch designers Maarten Baas and Bertjan Pot  includes mirrors and a series of lights in different shapes formed from unevenly moulded coloured clay wrapped around steel frames.  Gem-shaped and coloured LED bulbs are embedded in various arrangements.

A new idea about vases

The Roots vasescreated by Milanese designer Giorgio Bonaguro and produced by DRIADE are made in blown borosilicate glass and, as the author describes them, " are ambivalent because they can be used as decorative flower pots in two directions: on the first side as an one flower-vase and for group of flowers of the other side."

Even without the flower inside they make a perfect accent piece and beautiful decorative object. The vases were presented at Milan Design Week 2015 last month.

Тrendy material

Which is one of the most trendy materials in current interior design? I will tell you which is the second most trendy one (for the 1st most trendy one my regular readers will  know :) or can find if check my most talked about trends lately) - the second one is cement tiles. We saw some interesting new collections at Cersaie last September and now Bisazza is expanding its collection with clever new designs that allow numerous combinations. They were presented at Salone del Mobile and are designed by French architect and designer India Mahdavi .
