"Design is a balance between context, shape, function, material and its impact"says the designer in his latest interview on Architonic. So much agree! This is one of the best definitions of design and it works for interiors, too. Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance is one of my favourite contemporary designers - both, for furniture and interior design.
