As my readers have already found, Rough Luxe is one of the new interior design trends for 2010. It is for those of us that value authenticity, but also good quality and comfort. And in conformity with this trend, both - at Cologne Furniture fare and at Maison et Objet this January logs seemed to get more and more popular. I just came accross another design idea that suits this trend - this a stool made from a fallen maple tree upholsteed in white leather and copper tacks over sustainably-harvested-latex foam. Small, nearly-invisible feet 'levitate' them ever so slightly off the floor. Best suited for indoors or a covered outdoor area. It is offered by Cumulus Project.
