Following its successful debut appearance at this year’s Salone del
Mobile, Milan, designjunction london will showcase the very best in
global design during the London Design Festival.
One of the most interesting new products will be a spectacular interactive LED
chandelier presented by Beau McClellan Design alongside their debut lighting collection.
Nomad is an impressive 5m long lighting installation made up of 200
individual components, using the studio’s signature glass mirror-coating
finish, reflecting the interior by day and becoming semi-transparent at
night, when illuminated by LEDs. Each of the LEDs used in this stunning
piece can be individually controlled to create numerous colour effects
and variations using a touch screen, ipad or iphone. The light from the
LED is cleverly diffused through frosted hand-ground crystal which
magnifies the light, creating warm pastel shades of colour.
