Paper Softseating is a series of products by Molo design made entirely from kraft paper, utilizing a flexible honeycomb structure to fan open into stools, benches and loungers. Each of the sizes and types of softseating can compress like a big book for storage.
Softseating belongs to Molo’s family of expandable / compressible honeycomb structures that includes the award winning paper and textile softwalls. The idea of softhousing is that furniture and private rooms such as bedrooms, can fold away when not in use, lending space back to the main room of an open plan, for work, play or home use.

They remind me of the famous paper furniture collection of Frank Gehry EASY EDGES for VITRA , but I find Softseating much more flexible and modern and if someone asked me what will the furniture of the future look like, I would say that Softseating is an example of that. What I like most is the possibbility to fold it and put it away when not needed. They only have to start making armchairs, too - this will satisfy most seating requirement.
