Philippe Starck Reinvents the Robin Hood Tale in Furniture Collection

Even though not long ago we all read about Stark's decision to stop designing, 2008 appears to be a year with quite a large number of new products designed by him.

News just came in that Philippe Starck has released a new range of furniture - 'The RobinWood Deluxe Collection' includes chairs, beds, stools and recliners. It is primarily made from wood and pieces can be used both indoors and outdoors. "The style uses a twist on traditional wooden furniture" as designboom determines it.

"The collection, launched in collaboration with Dallas showroom owner David
Sutherland, is called RobinWood, and the designs are evocative of 13th-century
England. Humble, recognizable shapes that could've once been made of oak are
given the Starck touch with sustainable teak and touches of polished aluminum...This is the first outdoor line Mr. Starck has produced and, he says, he wanted to "work the icons of our common shared memory." "
writes The Dallas Morning News
RobinWood Deluxe collection for Sutherland is simple, elegant and probably comfortable to use. What I liked most from it are these corner bed and the setee. This is Strk's contribution to the numerous outdoor furniture designs that can be used indoors, too.
Новата колекция на мебели от Филип Старк с името на Робин Худ - едно елегантно допълнение към многобройните предложения на дизайнерите за лятото.
