This is not a lapshade with a transparent middle layer - this is a real levitating lamp! It is one of the very interesting new designs presented at Dutch Design Week - LOS! - a levitating lamp, design by Angela Jansen.
LOS! is the first product by Crealev - a very young high-tech company aiming to show the dazzling ways in which technique and design can enhance one another. The company intends to combine advanced levitation technology with high-grade design.
