‘Being struck by a thunder out of blue sky’

- you can see how this old korean expression can be interpreted visually :)  at London Design Festival 2017
Designer Jiyoun Kim "translates ‘being struck by a thunder out of blue sky’ into his latest project, the Lightning Lamp . The phrase describes people confronting unexpected catastrophic events and encompasses the message of overcoming challenges during the course of ones lifetime by changing their outlook."

London Design Festival starts today

London Design Fair 2017 - A glimpse at British Craft Pavilion

As the destination of the London Design Festival (16-24 September 2017), located in the creative heart of East London, the London Design Fair is a four-day industry event that brings together 500 exhibitors from 28 countries. This year it runs 21–24 September.
