The perfect bedroom

What is your idea of the perfect bedroom? From designer's point of view it looks something like that:

or that - at least for me:

But also there are some tiny details that definitely add to creating the perfect bedroom. They could be something like these:

Better Sleep Stomach and Side Sleeper Gel Fiber White Pillow
  The Side Sleeper's Ergonomic Pillow.
Better Sleep Luxury White Goose Feather and Goose Down Pillow Dual-Zone Better Than Downr Comforter
The NASA Sleep Promoting Light Bulb - Used by NASA to help astronauts sleep in space, this is the light bulb that encourages production of melatonin—the hormone that promotes sleep. Unlike typical light bulbs that emit high levels of short wavelength “blue” light that suppresses melatonin, the NASA light bulb’s patented filter reduces blue light by 50% to facilitate a better night’s sleep. Ideal for use in a nightstand lamp for 30 minutes before you fall asleep, the light bulb helps maintain your body’s natural circadian rhythm so you fall asleep faster and wake up more refreshed. The 12-watt LED produces the same light as a 60-watt incandescent for optimal illumination while reading yet lasts up to 16X longer. 4 1/2" H x 2 1/2" W. Tranquil Moments Pro Sleep System
Tranquil Momentsr Bedside Speaker & Sleep Sounds ChiliPad - Cooling/Heating Mattress Pad

Did you find your perfect addition to your perfect bedroom? I hope to have been useful :)

How do you like it? This is one of my favourite pieces created with the help of  PRECIOUS M 080 - a purpose built machine for precious metal laser sintering recently installed at the Birmingham School of Jewellery. They are part of  a collection by designer Lionel T Dean that is 3D printed in 18 carat gold for the project called Precious, a collaboration between five companies including software provider Delcam and precious metal supplier Cooksongold.

A great example of the Rough Luxe design trend

This is a story about one great design idea with great implementation.
I saw it in Freshome and the impressive design is by Yaroslav Galant for Kiev’s first fruit shop
RAMBUTAN fruit studio.

It starts from the outside image of the store and continues inside with a lot of interesting ideas:

Each box is in fact a fridge drawer with specific temperature suitable for each fruit!

And the crisp white tablecloths are made of Corian!

A perfect example of the Rough Luxe trend that I have so much witten about!

Art is the great final touch

that makes a space unforgettable and charming. Art is also the necessary element that can unite all the other elements of an interior design project and gives it a character. And when the interior designer works together with the owners to achieve that, then the result is undoubtly the best. That was what I thought when I saw the photos of this beautiful Contemporary Ranch Style Residence:

Of course, we have to admit that the result would not have been the same without the great work of  Stephen Moser Architect - the building itself is a wonderful background for displaying all those artefacts and beautiful furniture as part of the overall interior design solutions.
I would definitely like to live in such a house - what about you?

A hotel I dream to stay in

It is not that rare to get impressed by the interior design of a new hotel - today we have plenty of designer hotels with great design. But when I saw today some of the photos from Wl Retreat & Spa on Vieques Island, Puerto Rico, I just wanted to be there and explore and enjoy the inviting, fun and beautiful interiors! And it is no doubt to be so because they are created by Patricia Urquiola together with Rockwell Group.
A great example of how things should be done!
