Tom Dixon's new 2013 collection to be Launched At Milan Design Week

Have a glimpse at the new Tom Dixon collection Rough and Smooth that will be launched at MOST, Milan Design Week 2013:
"This year we’ve been exploring all new materials and have found ourselves fascinated by honest production as well as futuristic processes. Focusing on texture, finishes and materiality we introduce our new collection: Rough and Smooth.  Symbolizing Rough and Smooth we’ll be showcasing all our new products within two contrasting environments – the back-of-house warehouse and front-of-house showroom - at MOST in Milan this April.
Bell is a dome suspended over a dome – and its ultra-polished, mirror finish means it will take on the colours and characteristics of its surroundings. Made from chrome-plated steel, the same material used on vintage car bumpers, this super-shiny lamp gives off a soft and clean light through its frosted glass under-side.

Flask is a spherical hand-blown glass light made up of two parts; a flask and a hood. The bottom flask is ridged and rounded to refract light and give a warm, rippled glow while the top hood is smoked to cover the lamp and give an elegant subtlety.Cell Light
Just like our much loved Etch ShadeCell is made from etched brass. Tiny holes across the surface filter the light to cast intricate shadows and throw a satisfyingly dappled glow.
Mass
Mass Coat Stand and Book Stand are two huge chunks of heavyweight, metallic minimalism. These two pieces of monster furniture are brass-clad and govern authority over any space, developing a natural patina across the surface over time so each piece will age like a prized bronze statue.
Spun
Spun Champagne Bucket and two Spun tables are ultra-expressive, occasional furniture pieces designed to bring disco glamour back into the cocktail bar, dining hall or living room. Made from curves of solid brass, they are maximal rather than minimal and could be Space Age, Art Deco or pop – everybody sees a difference influence.
